At 1/6th scale the jaguar écorché is one of seven models in the "Big Cats anatomy écorché" series, it represents the largest size jaguar at approximately 8.6 ft (262 cm) long, from tip of the nose to the tip of the tail, roughly matching the size of a tigress or lioness. The jaguar model is created from references of the live animals, the head is sculpted on top of a 3D scanned skull of a very large jaguar.  The Jaguar Anatomy model is approx 13" long, highly detailed it shows superficial muscle on one side, surface anatomy on the other side.  It features a detachable head, this allows the option of switching to the Mouth-Opened "Roar" head(sold separately) for alternative reference. This size of an anatomy tool is perfect as a desktop reference of anatomy for sculptor, or as animal anatomy for the artist; the size is design for ease of handling, for teaching, or study.  

This set includes the Mouth-closed head, the body, and large base.

The jaguar (Panthera onca) is one of the five big cats in the genus Panthera including, tiger, lion, leopard, and the snow leopard.  The jaguar is the largest feline in the Americas, its present day range extends from Southwestern USA, Mexico, across Central America, and south to Paraguay and Norther Argentina.  Jaguar's average size range from 56 kg - 96 kg (124 lb - 211 lb), length from 1.57 m - 2.35 m, it stands from 25 - 30 inches at the shoulders.  Their size varies across the regions and habitats, with the largest individuals that can be found in Venezuela and Brazil, while the smallest individuals that can be found in the Mexican Pacific coast.  The jaguar has short and robust limbs, adapted for climbing and swimming.  The head is extremely powerful, they posses one of the most powerful bites in the big cats family.  The rosettes on a jaguar's coat are larger, fewer in number, usually darker, and have thicker lines and small spots in the middle that the leopard lacks. Jaguars also have rounder heads and shorter, stockier limbs compared to leopards.  It hunts prey animals such as adult caimans, deer, capybaras, tapirs, peccaries, dogs, anacondas, it will eat small species too, including, frogs, mice, birds, fish, sloths, monkeys, and turtles.
